The storms have passed (21" + 18" of snow) and we're very slowly working towards normal, though that may not occur for a few more days. Y2Knit is open: thanks to Audrey, Nancy and Dennis I have two parking spaces cleared. The walks are shoveled (better than the picture, which was taken yesterday) and the porch is clear.
Feel free to buzz at the side door and I'll let you in that way if you want to avoid the walk.
If you want to send someone out to pick something up, like those needles you need to finish a project, call and I'll have it ready. I've been doing that all week! He doesn't even have to come inside.
Friday, Feb 12 is Social Knitting. Come anytime during the day, but expect more people here between 10-12 and 7-9. Consider this a great opportunity to get out of the house! I'll have chocolate and tea.
I also have some sale yarn from Cascade (discontinued colors) and I'm passing the savings on to Y2Knit customers. I have cotton, pima tencel and a lovely angora/wool blend. $3-$5/ball.
I know many people cannot get out of their homes or neighborhoods yet. Don't despair! Share your snow stories here--I've found feeling connected to others the single most important thing through all of these stormy days.
If anyone is stuck and needs help, let me know. I can see what your fellow knitters can do to help. Keep knitting and when you need knitting companionship, more yarn or supplies, visit Y2Knit!
